Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif back again?: It seems, this couple will keep the media confused for long. After meeting Salman Khan on his birthday, Katrina Kaif is all set to spend a couple of days with the actor and his family.

A source informed Mid Day, "Katrina has been seen bonding again with Salman and his family lately. She was spotted at his Tees Maar Khan trial and then went to wish him before he left for Dubai to bring in his birthday with an entourage of forty friends and family members."

If all goes well, Katrina will fly down tomorrow to be with Sallu and family. "Salman's parents, Salim and Salma, Helen, brothers Arbaaz, Sohail, sisters Alvira and Arpita and their children are all in Dubai, though some friends have returned. Kat might even fly down with Salman tomorrow to Dubai depending on when she wraps up for her YRF film."

The actress wants to reconnect with her ex, but doesn't want media to keep a track of this. Says a source, "Katrina is keen to get back into the Khan family fold again but she doesn't want the media know about it. Last week, she was very upset when she had gone to wish Salman a day before his birthday (on Christmas) at his Bandra residence and photographers had caught her in the act. Right now, Katrina is still testing the waters with Salman."

Katrina denies reconnecting with Salman and family. She told the tabloid, However, the actress denies any plans of going to Dubai, "I am shooting Mere Brother Ki Dulhan with YRF till January 31. If weather permits, I may go to London for a day."

Shahrukh has flown to the Emirates with his family and friends including Karan Johar, Hrithik Roshan and his wife Sussanne Khan. Salman, on the other hand, is in Dubai with his family.

So what are the chances of SRK and Sallu meeting up and making peace?

“The chance is pretty bleak. But you never know. Remember, Hrithik bonded well with Salman at Sohail Khan’s birthday bash and he’s presently holidaying with SRK. May be he could initiate something to bring the two Khans together,” says a source from the industry.

Not to be ignored are the feelers that Shahrukh has been sending out to Salman lately, indirectly albeit.

On an upcoming episode of Koffee With Karan which has already been shot, Shahrukh went to the extent of admitting that it is his fault that Salman is not talking with him anymore.

“If Salman and Farah are upset with me it's 100 per cent my fault but I can't pick up the phone and say sorry.... I can't apologise because of ego but because I can't just get myself to ask people to come back to me,” Shahrukh is quoted to have said.

Moreover, SRK has been talking about making new beginnings in 2011. One of those could be a permanent burial of his rivalry with Salman.

SRK has been in confession mood lately. After confessing that he’s been depressed for a good part of this year, he’s spoken out frankly about his friends that have been falling out, namely Salman Khan and Farah Khan.

On Karan Johar’s show KWK, when SRK was asked about Farah and Salman, he is reported to have said: “I don't know how to make friends and if I do, I don't know how to keep them....If Salman and Farah are upset with me it's 100 per cent my fault but I can't pick up the phone and say sorry.... I can't apologise because of ego but because I can't just get myself to ask people to come back to me... I had asked my parents to come back and they didn't...”

In fact, SRK’s soul-baring so touched the host Karan Johar that he was moved to tears.

The SRK episode will be aired on January 2.

Katrna Kaif was in a fix when Salman Khan asked her on Bigg Boss 4 who her favourite co-star is, Akshay Kumar or him (Salman). Though reports suggested that Katrina was put off Salman’s questions, the lady says she knew that Sallu was asking such things in good humour.

“Salman and I have known each other for a while now and I know when he is pulling my leg and when he is serious about things. On the sets of Bigg Boss 4, this was all done in good humour,” Katrina is quoted as saying in a Live India interview.

When pointed out that Akshay is seen as her better co-star than Salman, Katrina said: “To be honest me and Salman haven’t done a fair movie together. Whereas me and Akshay have done seven movies together now. So keeping that in mind it is only fair that Akshay gets the better co-star’s title,” she said.

Talking about exposing her mid-riff for the first time in the song Sheila Ki Jawani, Katrina said: “Yes that is true and trust me while shooting for it I was supremely nervous. I had told Farah whether we can use a dupatta. But she told me to give it a shot and if I am still not comfortable then I can use the dupatta. It turned out pretty well. So much so that my brother who is not at all interested in movies welcomed me at the London airport singing Sheila Ki Jawani.”

They may have broken up, but Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif continue to remain good friends.

So no surprise that we spotted Katrina at Salman’s house, Galaxy Apartments, a day before Salman’s 44th birthday.

As Khan turns 45, he would celebrate not in Mumbai, but in Dubai, which is like a second home for him. He was clicked at Mumbai airport, leaving for his birthday destination along with father Salim Khan, mom Salma, sisters Arpita, Alvira and brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri.

When everybody is speculating whether there is a strain in the friendship between Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif especially after it was reported that the macho Bollywood actor's digs about Ranbir Kapoor did not go down too well with Kat, TOI spotted Sallu's ex-flame paying him a visit on Saturday night.

Kat drove into Salman's Galaxy pad in Bandstand (Bandra) late evening and even stayed there for at least one-and-a-half hours bonding with him as well as his family members.

We hear that she was there to wish him in advance for his brithday. Family sources tell us that Salman was very friendly with Kat and vice versa and they had a blast chatting up after ages as both were busy with their respective shooting commitments. "Kat had some food at Salman's pad and caught up on some hearty conversation.

By the way they were interacting with each other, nothing seems to be wrong between the relationship that they have been sharing. Kat continues to be close to the entire Khan family and considers Salman to be her advisor and, most importantly, a very close friend. Salman, too, is quite fond of her. They hugged each other and spent at least one hour with just each other." What's also interesting is that Salman even escorted Kat all the way to her car when she was leaving and waited at the door waving to her till her car zoomed away.

According to a study titled 'airtel Mobitude 2010' which is based on over 25 million images and wallpapers downloaded by airtel mobile users, Katrina is the most downloaded actress, followed by Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and Aishwarya Rai to feature among the top five category.

In the male actor’s category, Salman Khan has beaten the likes of Shahrukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and Shahid Kapoor to grab the top spot.

Salman Khan’s Dabangg won big awards from Big Star Entertainment: The award season has taken off with the Big Star Entertainment Awards held in Mumbai on Tuesday night. And guess what? Salman Khan’s superhit film Dabangg won five trophies.

The film, starring Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha, and directed by Abhinav Kashyap, bagged the awards in five categories: Best Actor, Best Film, Best Director, Best Entertaining Song (for Malaika Arora’s Munni Badnaam Hui) and Best Male Singer award for the Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan for “Mast Mast Do Nain”.

The award show was a star-studded event with Bollywood bigwigs like Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Vidya Balan, Karan Johar, Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani.

Legendary actor Dharmendra won the Big Star Entertainer award for 50 years of glory. It’s akin to lifetime achievement award.

The full award show will be aired on December 31 on Star TV.

When SRK’s wife Gauri met Salman Khan! The media persons were a bit surprised to see Shahrukh Khan’s wife Gauri Khan at the birthday bash of Sohail Khan, where big brother Salman Khan was a dominating presence.

SRK and Salman may not be on talking terms, but their so-called cold war doesn’t spill over to their near and dear ones. Yet, it came as a surprise to see Gauri walking in for a bash hosted by the family of Salman Khan recently.

Our source says: “Gauri and Malaika Arora (Arbaaz’s wife) are very good friends and Gauri was invited by Malaika.”

From what we hear, Salman and Gauri met each other cordially and there was no awkwardness in either during the entire course of the bash.

As a tabloid reports, it was Salman who was in the mind of Reema Kagti for her paranormal thriller on the lines of films like Bhoot. Sources reveal that Salman wasn’t keen about doing the film because it had ‘too many tracks’ and rather more complex. So, he said no to the film and Reema then went up to Aamir. The actor who is game for challenging roles accepted the untitled film.

The movie also features two actresses in the main lead along with Aamir, and one actress is Kareena Kapoor.

Salman Khan teased Katrina over Ranbir on Bigg Boss: Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif have always made headlines for their on-off relationship. So when they recently came face to face on the Bigg Boss 4,  Salman didn't miss the opportunity to pull Katrina's leg in his trademark mischievous style .

Katrina had come with Farah Khan on the Bigg Boss show as a part of promotion of her upcoming film Tees Maar Khan.

 Salman Khan teased Katrina on how, after working with seasoned costars like Akshay Kumar and himself, she is now working with younger actors like Ranbir Kapoor. Referring to the descending age of her costars, Salman on a funny note asked, "Aur kitna neeche jaane ka irada hai madam". The moment Salman mentioned Ranbir's name, the television cameras panned on Katz face, though she chose to ignore the remark and look down.

While one could clearly sense that Salman's impish digs and barbs were irritating Katrina, the actress maintained a graceful smile on her face throughout. But Salman did not give up easily and went on to ask Katrina if she would want to act with actors... even younger than Ranbir. Probably trying to hide her embarrassment, Katrina simply smiled back and became a part of the game.

Interestingly this is not the first time that Salman Khan has put Katrina Kaif in a spot on national television. The actor was at his funniest best as the host of the game show Dus Ka Dum in the episode when Katrina Kaif and Neil Mukesh had come as a part of promotion of their film New York. Salman's incessant digs had put Katrina in an embarrassing situation even then.

'Ready' Movie First Look: Salman Khan’s next film : From the bone-crushing action of Dabangg, Salman Khan now switches to comedy for director Anees Bazmee’s next film Ready.

The movie, starring Asin opposite Khan, is produced by Bhushan Kumar and is slated to release on May 27, 2011. It’s been partly shot in Sri Lanka for which there was a lot of protest down south in Tamil Nadu. Nowadays, the film is being shot in Mumbai.
