Paris Hilton Denies New Marijuana Allegations

Paris Hilton is denying a report that she was detained on a French island Friday over a new marijuana-related incident.

"So sick of people making up rumors about me," the socialite tweeted Saturday. "The latest one about me is completely false too. Don't believe what you read. Silly nonsense."

The Agence France-Presse reported that police detained Hilton at an airport on the French island of Corsica on Friday after authorities allegedly found less than a gram of marijuana in her handbag. The news agency says police sources told them she was released shortly after without being charged.

Earlier this month, Hilton was briefly detained and questioned by police in South Africa on allegations of smoking marijuana at the World Cup. Her rep told ET the case was subsequently dropped with no charges filed and claimed the incident was "a complete misunderstanding."

Paris Hilton Busted For Weed Again

Ho-tel heiress Paris Hilton was detained at an airport on the French Island of Corsica after authorities discovered she had pot in her purse, according to the AFP.

She was found to have less than a gram of pot and was released.

If any of this sounds familiar, that's because it is. Paris was busted briefly for the same exact thing two weeks ago while watching the World Cup in South Africa.

Cops let the socialite skate after they decided it was a friend who had the weed at that time, and apparently she was quickly let off the hook this time as well.

Bribes go a long way. Just kidding. Mostly.

According to the Mirror (UK), customs officers with drug-sniffing dogs pounced after the multi-millionaire's flight touched down from Paris (France) on Friday.

Downplaying it, Paris yesterday tried to pass it off as "silly nonsense" posting a message on Twitter saying: "So sick of people making up rumors about me."

"The latest one about me is completely false too. Don't believe what you read." Or you can believe it. An officer at Corsica's Figari airport said, contrarily:

"We held her for about 45 minutes and had strong words."

Paris Hilton Busted For Having Pot. Yes, Again.

After all the drama at the World Cup, why would Paris Hilton let this happen AGAIN? I guess because she keeps getting away with it.

TMZ is reporting that Paris was stopped at a private airport on the French Island of Corsica after authorities found pot in her purse.

Hilton was found to have less than a gram of pot and was released shortly thereafter.

I guess she was released because of the small amount?

This just doesn't make any sense to me. Surely Paris could afford to just dispose of her pot before going to the airport and buy more once she arrives at her destination?

Paris Hilton And Jennifer Rovero Getting High And Detained At World Cup

 

Paris Hilton was detained at the World Cup Quarterfinal match Friday night where she was enjoying the match between Brazil and The Netherlands. Security at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium detained Hilton and Jennifer Rovero, who is a photographer that works for Paris, on suspicion of smoking Marijuana. After being questioned, Paris Hilton was released and no charges were filed. Jennifer Rovero admitted that she was the person getting high. Hilton’s representative released a statement that this was just a misunderstanding and the authorities have apologized to Paris for the mistake.

CMR contacted a former acquaintance of Paris Hilton who told us, “This is the way Paris operates. She has enough money to buy off her friends so they will take the fall for her. She is a total party animal. It makes me sick to see people get caught up in this game she (Paris) likes to play. One day there will be something she gets busted for that her money won’t be able to get her out of.” Sounds like Paris has stepped on a few toes in the past but that comes with being rich and famous.

Paris Hilton Arrested For Pot at World Cup

Paris Hilton was arrested in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium for allegedly smoking marijuana a few hours ago at a World Cup match.

Not as surprising as the Netherlands' 2-1 win over Brazil, but unexpected!

The socialite was taken to the Mount Road Police Station in St. Croix, S.A. just before 8 p.m., Det. Mark Magadlela later confirmed to local news organizations.

It is believed that Hilton was indeed at the police station but has since been released. No further specifics were given as to why the ho-tel heiress was busted.

Details of Paris' arrest remain murky at best.

Paris Hilton's Los Angeles-based lawyer says the 29-year-old has served her probation period, after her 2007 conviction for alcohol-related reckless driving.

Unlike Lindsay Lohan, her probation is complete (as of January 2010), taking a lot of the potential heat off her from this screw-up, whatever it consisted of.

One TMZ source also reports that Paris wasn't smoking dope, but an officer has reportedly said that Paris was caught red-handed in possession of weed.

Another report suggests it was a member of her entourage caught with the stuff, rather than Hilton herself, but that the whole crew was subsequently booked.

UPDATE 7/3: Paris is off the hook for the whole thing, and has been released from custody, with police reportedly even apologized for misidentifying her. Her rep claims the culprit already pleaded guilty, paid a small fine and was released.
